The Machame route is Click Expedition's most popular and successful route to the summit of Kilimanjaro. Hikers sleep in tents carried up the mountain by porters. It is a very scenic route that can be completed in 6 days, but we strongly recommend 7 days, which allows more time to acclimatise. Its topography lets hikers climb high and sleep low, which is the key to its success. Itinerary: Day 1 arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfer to your hotel in Moshi, pre-climb briefing and gear check · Day 2 Machame Gate to Machame Camp · Day 3 Machame Camp to Shira Camp · Day 4 Shira to Lava Tower (about 4,450 m) and down to Barranco Camp · Day 5 Barranco Wall to Karanga · Day 6 Karanga to Barafu Hut · Day 7 summit push to Stella Point and Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), descent to Mweka Camp · Day 8 Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, back to your hotel in Moshi · Day 9 departure.
